KODAK ESP Office 6150 All-in-One Printer

I’m pretty picky when it comes to just about everything and that includes my printers. So when the folks over at Kodak wanted me to test and try one of their wireless photo printers, I thought, “hey why not?”

So I had questions before I even opened the box, because there are SO many printers out there right now; What makes this printer different? How can an at home printer, print high quality photos? How does this wireless thing work?

Wireless Printing

The first thing I was excited about trying was the wireless factor. I work off my laptop so sometimes I migrate from my desk, my bed, the couch, my backyard and the dining room table. With that being said, I was curious if this printer would actually work from the different areas of my house? Well, yes it certainly can. Since I’m a bit of a geek, I was a little giddy when I pressed the print button and heard the printer clicking away downstairs.  When I have a ton of stuff to send out to press for our store, this actually comes in really handy.

Photo Printing

If the quality of your photos are good, the quality of your prints are too. Some things I learned from my handy Kodak manual, I can print straight off my iphone to the printer. That’s pretty convenient. I decided to do it wireless off my laptop for a photo collage I needed for a present.Click, print and voila! I actually had to ask the gift receiver what they thought and they were a bit confused. Then I confessed that their present was part of a “printing experiment” but they didn’t even notice a difference. Bravo Kodak!

I’d keep this printer for wireless and photo jobs. It prints extremely well for regular printing, but I’m not sure I’d want to use this for every day use. If Kodak wanted to send me free ink cartridges, then sure :-).

Here’s the thing, I don’t exactly try printers all day long, but I’m a  fan of this one. It does what it says it’s going to do(and that’s a lot!), and the features make my life that much easier. Personally I hate running to Rite-Aid to print photos, and yea sometimes I want to work from somewhere besides my desk.

oh my god- be careful with this printer. i bought one for full price and literally gave it away a few months later because i thought it was too cruel to sell it to anyone, regardless of the price!

it eats up ink like nothing you’ve ever seen, and it costs about $100 to buy all of the ink refills you need. i think about every 3 pages or pictures i printed, one of my ink cartridges was empty. its ridiculous! i printed maybe 45 pages on this thing and spent hundreds in ink. tried all different settings, didn’t make a difference.

Are you sure you’re talking about the right printer? The black ink for this printer is only $10 which is by far the cheapest I’ve ever seen. I know what kind of printers you’re talking about though and that’s why I was actually really impressed with this one. Sorry to hear about your printing experience though!
