Love, Life, Lace Home Office Makeover

The Before

The After

TheOfficeStylist: Describe your office to us:

My office is peaceful and chic with some touches of whimsy and fun! I went with a neutral color on the walls and chose to add punches of color and texture with the accessories. The palette is gray complimented with black, white, yellow and gold. Of course there are also bursts of green, pink and green.

TOS: What is your favorite part of your office and why?

My favorite part has to be my pin boards. Not only did they turn out great (I re-painted and re-covered them myself) but they feature some of my favorite photos.

TOS: What was your inspiration for your office makeover?

I don’t think there is one specific inspiration instead I’ve pulled from blogs and magazines over the past couple of months. I especially enjoy the ideas presented in Rue magazine and websites like Design Sponge.

TOS: How did you feel working in your office before your makeover?

Before the makeover I rarely worked in my office. I didn’t like the color scheme and it just felt completely lackluster. Not a very inspirational or motivating space.

TOS: How did you feel working in your office AFTER your makeover?

After the makeover you can’t get me out of this room! I find that I’m so focused when I work from here and my mood is completely different. I feel empowered and happy!

TOS: Do you feel it’s important to have an office/workspace you love in order to be happy at work/while working?

Absolutely! Whenever I work from any other room in the house I accomplish much less than when I’m working in my office. Organization is key because it helps you work more efficiently too. Not to mention that a room can set your mood whether good or bad so it’s important to think about colors that not only make you happy but are conducive to focus and creativity.
